Lawrence A. Johnson has been named an ASAS Fellow.    The award will be presented during the Awards Ceremony on Monday evening as part of the American Society of Animal Science Annual Meeting, July 21-25 in Quebec City.

Johnson was awarded degrees from University of Wisconsin at River Falls and the Universities of Minnesota and Maryland. Johnson retired in 2000 from USDA, ARS, Beltsville, MD, after 36 years, the last nine of which were as research leader of the Germplasm and Gamete Physiology Laboratory.
