SUBJECT: Departmental Centennial Displays at the ASAS 2008 Centennial Celebration

We have started the countdown leading up to the ASAS Centennial Celebration Meeting in Indianapolis, July 7 to 11, 2008. The program and special events are coming together very nicely, and Co-chairs Dave Ames and Len Bull are confident that this will be a truly exciting, memorable, and rewarding event.

Among the activities that are planned at the Centennial will be an expanded “Exhibit Hall,” which will provide an opportunity for departments to have displays. We strongly encourage you and your faculty to plan for a display that depicts the unique contributions that YOUR DEPARTMENT has made to Animal Science during the past 100 years.

Space will be provided to departments at NO CHARGE. The deadline for signing up to have a display is October 15, 2007. After that date, departments that plan to participate will be provided with exhibit details including space allotment. Within the allotted space, departments may bring any support items that are needed (tables, historical equipment, etc.) to personalize their display.

We are asking that you convey, at your earliest possible convenience, your intention to have a display in the “Exhibit Hall”
at the ASAS Centennial Celebration and to indicate the approximate space need that will be needed. Please respond to
Meghan Wulster-Radcliffe using the form in this email. Again, please remember that the deadline is October 15, 2007.
Thanks for considering this request. We look forward to your participation in this exciting effort and to a GREAT Centennial
Celebration in 2008!

Cc: D. Ames; L. Bull
