ASAS recognizes that life is hectic and now more than ever people need more individualized programs, so we have increased our membership types for your convenience. Listed below are some of the options that are now available along with some of the advantages of these types of benefits:

Professional Membership: The customary ASAS membership for our professional members!

2 Year Professional Membership: The advantage to a 2 Year membership is that the member doesn't have to remember to renew and the member provides the society with a more consistent revenue stream by paying dues for two years instead of one!

3 Year Professional Membership: The advantage to a 3 Year membership is that the member doesn't have to remember to renew and the member provides the society with a more consistent revenue stream by paying dues for three years instead of one!

Individual Sustaining Membership: This membership option supports both the society and the Foundation.

Graduate Student Membership: The customary ASAS membership for graduate students.

Master's Student Membership: This membership sets a single price for membership while working on your Masters degree. The price is equivalent to two years of membership, so if it takes longer than two years to get your degree you have saved money on membership!

PhD Student Membership: This membership sets a single price for membership while working on your Doctoral degree. The price is equivalent to three years of membership, so if it takes longer than three years to get your degree you have saved money on membership!

Membership Bundling

As ASAS moves forward with strategic planning, our most common member request is that we work with other societies to offer potential membership bundling opportunities. Bundling helps retain members for the larger group and increase membership for the smaller group.

ASAS recognizes that our members are often members of multiple societies or have interest in a number of societies. So as a membership benefit in 2011, we are continuing our bundling opportunity with ESS (Equine Science Society) and we are helping EAAP (European Federation of Animal Production) launch their new individual membership program by offering bundling with EAAP.
