All graduate students are invited to participate! First, second, and third place winners will be recognized and receive a certificate and one of three cash awards. The Northeast organization will provide $100 for travel support to each student entering the competition. Each school within the region is permitted a maximum of three entries. An individual student may not enter more than a total of two Northeast regional competitions.

In preparing the abstract and oral presentation, competitors must meet the same requirements as others presenting technical papers. Follow the enclosed Guidelines for Abstract Submission and Criteria for Preparation of Abstracts. Competitors should prepare for all items considered in the Competition as listed on the enclosed Graduate Student Competition Score Card.

Students should submit a letter indicating their desire to enter the competition in addition to a paper copy to M. J. Wylie at the address below. The letter must accompany the abstract and must be signed by both the student's major professor and department head.
