ASAS and CAAVM collaborate for the first time.

The American Society of Animal Science and the Chinese Association of Animal Science & Veterinary Medicine will come together for the first time in hopes of enhancing scientific exchange between China and the US animal scientists in an international forum by hosting the 2009 Inaugural ASAS - CAAVM Pacific Rim Conference Greater interaction between Chinese and American animal scientists will increase educational experiences for professionals and students in both countries and will enhance sale of US animal health and management products in China.
ASAS and CAAVM to host Inaugural Pacific Rim Conference

In order to initiate greater communication between the US and the Pacific Rim, ASAS and CAAVM will host the 2009 Inaugural ASAS - CAAVM Pacific Rim Conference to provide the Pacific Rim animal scientists with and international audience to present and showcase current cutting-edge animal science research, provide networking opportunities for conference attendees, and increase overall knowledge of critical issues in animal science internationally.
American Meat Science Association agrees to sponsor ASAS CAAVM Pacific Rim Conference

AMSA will provide travel and expenses for speakers for the meeting and will coordinate two symposia on meat quality and safety issues.
