Coinciding with publication in the JAS, ASAS will start publishing interpretative summaries of some of the articles in JAS. The goal is to call attention to articles that might interest our membership outside of academics and to highlight some of the production specific applications of many of these articles. ASAS will publish interpretative summaries for 3 to 5 articles per month. The interpretative summaries will be found on the front page of the ASAS website and will be published in Taking Stock, our monthly newsletter.

Journal of Animal Science, always the premiere animal science journal has increased its impact factor to 2.46 and now occupies the number place in within its ISI ranking, moving ahead of both Animal Genetics and Journal of Dairy Science.
