Southern Section ASAS
2003

Each year the Southern Section recognizes and honors one of its members for outstanding service to the livestock industry. Nominees must be members of the American Society of Animal Science for two (2) consecutive years prior to the date of their nomination. Any Southern Section member working in the Southern Region (defined in Paragraph 4, Article VII, Page 604, J. Anim. Sci. Vol. 24, May 1965) is eligible. Any active member in the American Society of Animal Science-Southern Section in good standing, except Southern Section ASAS officers, may make nominations. Self-nominations shall not be eligible. Nominees are not carried forward from year to year; therefore, nominators should update and submit data on those previously nominated. Nominations must be postmarked no later than October 16, 2002.

Materials to be supplied by the nominator:

  1. Six (6) copies of a dossier that contains the following material:
    1. Summary statements on work and importance to animal science and the Southern Region, not to exceed three (3) typed pages double-spaced (8000 characters and spaces).
    2. Biographical information, not to exceed one typed page, double-spaced (270 characters and spaces).
