Each year the Southern Section recognizes and honors one of its members for
outstanding service to the livestock industry. Nominees must be members of the
American Society of Animal Science for two (2) consecutive years prior to the
date of their nomination. Any Southern Section member working in the Southern
Region (defined in Paragraph 4, Article VII, Page 604, J. Anim. Sci. Vol. 24,
May 1965) is eligible. Any active member in the American Society of Animal Science-Southern
Section in good standing, except Southern Section ASAS officers, may make nominations.
Self-nominations shall not be eligible. Nominees are not carried forward from
year to year; therefore, nominators should update and submit data on those previously
nominated. Nominations must be postmarked no later than October 16, 2001.
