Spouse and Children/Teen Activities
Bring the family! The spouse and children/teen activities are scheduled for June 22nd. Please note that we may need to cancel the activities if not enough people sign up. If we need to cancel we will refund the complete cost of the activity. NOTE: Everyone attending a tour must complete and sign the UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, DAVIS WAIVER, RELEASE AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT included in registration materials. There are also a number of on-campus attractions including a large swimming pool with recreational area, an arboretum, and bicycle riding.

Spouse Tour Visit a historic and prestigious Sonoma Valley winery for a tour and tasting of premium wine. Later discover the town of Sonoma, where one can visit the historic mission, shop, taste cheese or just take in the sites of the beautiful and quaint Sonoma square. We will lunch at a local restaurant in Sonoma. Price of the tour includes transportation, wine tasting and lunch. This will be an all day tour departing Primero Grove at 8:30 a.m. and returning to Davis about 5:00 p.m. in time for the Awards Barbeque. Cost: $40 per person

Youth Tour Older kids (12 years and up) and adults will visit a theme park, wildlife park, and oceanarium all at Six Flags Marine World located in Vallejo, California. Younger children may attend this tour if accompanied by an adult, and those 3 years old or younger are admitted free. Marine World offers 30 rides, 10 great shows and 35 marine and land animal exhibits. Don't worry--there is plenty to see and do for all ages, even toddlers and those that are young at heart. Price of the tour includes transportation and admission to theme park. Food and other items are additional. This will be an all day tour departing Primero Grove 8:30 a.m. and returning to Davis about 5:00 p.m. in time for the Awards Barbeque. Cost: $30 per person

Child Care Drop-in day care is difficult to obtain in the city of Davis. However there is the possibility of day care for children. For more information please contact Anna Lyn Dalton or ask for a child care referral counselor with the City of Davis, Child Care Services at (530) 757-5691. They will be able to put you in contact with day care providers in the area who are accepting drop-ins at that time.

Opening Reception
The opening reception will be Wednesday, June 21 from 6-8 p.m. in Primero Grove located at on-campus housing at the University of California. Please indicate if you will be attending the reception so we can adjust the food count appropriately.

Conference Meals
No meals (except the Wednesday evening reception for all, and the Thursday luncheon for graduate students only) are included in the registration fee. Most meals are included with on-campus housing (see Housing sheet). You may purchase tickets to the Thursday evening Santa Maria BBQ on the registration form. The Memorial Union restaurants are very close to the Conference location and provide a variety of meals for attendees staying off-campus. No prepayment or reservations are necessary.

Location
The conference will be held at the University of California, Davis. Davis is located 15 miles west of Sacramento. Driving time is approximately 30 minutes from the Sacramento International Airport. Parking on Campus
Parking permits are required. These may be purchased with pre-registration forms, which permits parking close to Primero Grove. Otherwise, parking is limited to outlying lots at $3/day.

University of California
With more than 25,000 students, UCD has the largest agricultural enrollment of any university in California. UCD is located in Davis, California, in the middle of the Central Valley. From the towering Sierras on the East, to the sophisticated Bay Area on the West, the area is ideally located for all types of interests and activities. Hiking, camping, fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking, golfing, water sports, wine tasting and whale watching satisfy the adventurous. Davis’s central location puts it within a two-hour drive from all of the above.

Airport to Hotel Transportation
Affordable transportation to and from the Sacramento airport is available through the Davis Airporter (530-756-6715) or Super Shuttle (800-258-3826). Stay an extra day or two!
When making your airline booking, please consider staying a day or two extra. June is a phenomenal month in California for exploration. Take a drive to the beautiful North Coast and overnight at a rural bed and breakfast, spend a day by the Bay, visit the Beaches, explore the Sierra Mountains and Lake Tahoe, gamble in Reno, visit Yosemite, houseboat on Lake Shasta or taste what the Napa, Sonoma or Russian River Valleys have to offer.
