2005 ASAS Western Section Meeting AMERICAN SOCIETY OF ANIMAL SCIENCE WESTERN SECTION NEW Changes in the Graduate Student Paper Competition

1) Graduate students competing in the paper competition MUST be current members of WSASAS. A graduate student membership fee to ASAS for the next year is included in the cost of the meeting registration fee. Graduate students enrolled in institutions outside the WSASAS will need to pay the additional $10 fee to add a western section membership to their ASAS membership. Membership forms require the signature of an advisor to verify the student’s enrollment. 2) Papers submitted for competition now require verification from all coauthors agreeing upon the submission of the manuscript to competition. Coauthors of competition papers must all sign the verification form available at http://www.asas.org/western05. Signed forms should be submitted with the proceedings paper. Co-authors at cooperating institutions may fax the form to Dr. Tim Ross at (505) 646-5441. 3) Graduate competition papers should be 4-pages in length.
