Applied Animal Science Research Award

2006 marks the 6^th years of the Applied Animal Science Award, sponsored by industry.  The awards are selected from proceedings papers submitted for publication in the WSASAS Proceedings based on the criteria of 1) applicability to current production systems, 2) potential for economic return on investment, and 3) new and innovative approaches to existing production problems. The papers will be evaluated and selected by a committee of industry and academic animal agriculture consultants appointed and chaired by the WSASAS Industry Representative.

First, second, and third papers receive cash awards of $400, $300, and $200, respectively that will be presented during the Western Section Awards Bar-B-Que at the annual meeting.
