Eligibility for Nomination: |
1. Nominees should be actively involved in classroom instruction at the time of nomination. Administrators are eligible provided they personally teach courses during the school year. Retirees or those who are no longer physically able to perform teaching duties must have taught within 36 months prior to the time the award is presented. 2. A nominee must be a member of the Western Section of the American Society of Animal Science but may not be an officer of the sectional organization. 3. Nominees should have demonstrated abilities and interest in student motivation, mastery of subject matter, teaching improvement, extra-curricular student activities and service to agriculture. 4. Nominations may be submitted by active members in good standing of the American Society of Animal Science.

1. Biography of the nominee not to exceed 2670 characters and spaces 2. Letters of support of the nominee from current and former students as well as colleagues (minimum of 4, maximum of 8) demonstrating that the nominee has contributed exemplary service to animal agriculture and the teaching profession 3. List of teaching aids, books, scholarly publications, laboratory manuals, visual aids, etc. prepared by the nominee 4. One copy of a citation of approximately 500 words suitable for publication in the Journal of Animal Science |
