Trey Kellner, Stahly/Peo Outstanding Swine Nutrition Midwest Graduate Student Award

Trey Kellner is from Stockton, KS and received his B.S. at Nebraska. At Iowa State University under the guidance of Dr. Patience, he earned an M.S. in 2014 and is currently a Ph.D. candidate. Trey’s research has focused on more accurately predicting carcass iodine value, on understanding how dietary fat composition influences lipogenesis and lipolysis, how heat stress impacts dietary utilization and how the chemical composition of dietary fat can be used to estimate the ME and NE content of dietary fats. Trey is outgoing Graduate Director on the Board of MW ASAS Section Board. He previously received numerous awards including a Miller Fellowship and an IPPA Foundation Fellowship. Upon graduation, he will be the nutritionist for AMVC.
