ASAS is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2015 ASAS Science Policy Summer Internship Program. The internship is based in Washington, D.C. and provides experience in legislative, regulatory, or administrative science policy activities that affect animal science and animal agriculture. It is open to undergraduates or graduate students.
The 2015 summer interns include:
Tiffany Hebb, a Ph.D. fellow studying reproductive physiology and molecular biology in the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences at Tuskegee University.
Maci Lienemann, Princeton, Nebraska, a junior majoring in animal science and minoring in political science at the University of Nebraska.
Ashley Siska, Columbus, Ohio, a senior majoring in animal science at The Ohio State University.
Ashley Weaver, Rocky River, Ohio, a senior majoring in animal science and minoring in political theory at The Ohio State University.
The ASAS Science Policy Summer Internship Program is supported by the American Society of Animal Science Foundation through the Appreciation Clubs for Bob Zimbelman, Harold Hafs, Barb Glenn, Jack Britt, and Louis Boyd.
