Applicants wanted for probiotics prize

Sept. 11, 2015 – Tprobiotics prizehe European Probiotics Association (EPA) is announcing a new edition of the Jules Tournut Probiotics Prize. Two prizes worth 1500 € ($1686.45) each will be awarded to young scientists of all countries working on probiotics research with a Ph.D. or Master’s thesis published in 2014 – 2016.

One award will be given for “scientific excellence” and the other for “innovation for industrial application.” The Jules Tournut Probiotics Prize will be granted during Eurotier in Hannover, November 15 – 18, 2016.

Scientific works should involve innovative concepts, practical applications, or advanced knowledge of mechanisms of action in the field of probiotics for animal feeding. Areas of recognized expertise are nutrition, physiology, microbiology and immunity.
