Congratulations to Purdue's AQ team!


March 15, 2016 – A team of four undergraduates from Purdue University took top honors at the 2016 Midwest Academic Quadrathlon, held in conjunction with the 2016 ASAS Midwestern Section/ADSA Midwest Branch Meeting. Teams from Kansas State University, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the University of Illinois rounded out the top four.

The Purdue winning team members (shown left to right in the photo) include: Wyatt Krom, Jim Vinyard, Dakota Cook, and Joel Flanders.

Here’s how the Midwest teams placed in the lab practicum, oral presentation, written exam, and quiz bowl competitions:

Lab practicum

3rd (tie) – University of Wisconsin-Madison and University of Missouri

1st – The Ohio State University

More than a dozen teams competed in the Midwest AQ competition, including: University of Findlay, The Ohio State University, Illinois State University, University of Illinois, North Dakota State University, South Dakota State University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Wisconsin-Platteville, University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Kansas State University, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, University of Missouri, University of Minnesota, West Virginia University, Purdue University, and Iowa State University.
