Translational Animal Science is the first open-access, open-review animal science journal. Because of the unique review model, turn around time for the new journal is extremely fast and because the journal is Gold Open Access article visibility is high. To ensure availability of baseline author metrics Translational Animal Science will be indexed in Google Metrics in 2017 and Google Metrics and ISI in 2018.
