This week's pick from the Animal Science Image Gallery is a pastoral view of ewes and lambs grazing.
The image description reads: Ewes and lambs in a managed intensive grazing (MIG) system on improved pasture in Central Ohio. Pasture is divided into small paddocks and sheep are moved every 1-5 days and paddock rest for 21-28 days between grazing. This method of grazing can improve animal productivity, manure distribution, and persistence of desirable species in the pasture.
