Jenks S. Britt, D.V.M., graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1970. At that time he joined the Logan County Animal Clinic, while simultaneously establishing the Bov Eq Embryo Transfer Service, and Animal Health Management with his partners, and continued until 1993. In 1993, Dr. Britt joined the faculty at the University of Wisconsin College Of Veterinary Medicine where he worked until 1998. After returning to Kentucky, he joined the faculty at Western Kentucky University. There he became a professor of the Department of Agriculture, serving as head of the department until 2004. Dr. Britt continued to teach as a professor at Western Kentucky University until his retirement.
Over the years Dr. Britt received numerous awards for outstanding teacher, distinguished alumni, as well as being elected into the Bovine Practitioners Hall of Fame (full article can be found here). He also served on many state and national offices.
