American Registry of Professional Animal Scientist certification.
Whether you’re still in graduate school or you’ve been in the field for a while, there’s never a better time to identify yourself as a professional through certification. You can join ARPAS while attending the upcoming Midwest ADSA/ASAS meeting in Omaha by taking the certification exam on paper or online.
Visit the ARPAS booth (near registration), fill out an application, and sign up to take one of eleven species-specific paper exams available. If you are a graduate student, you pay exam fee ($25) and the ARPAS Foundation will pay your dues until completion of your graduate work. Exams will be given in the convention center connected hotel, Hilton Omaha on Tuesday, March 13, at 7:30 am. The exams generally take approximately 1 hour.
To take on-line, complete the online application at least one week prior the meetings. Bring your own computer and schedule a time at the meeting with proctor Joe Wolf (firstname.lastname@example.org). Click here for the link to the on-line application:
Sample exam questions and study helps are available on the ARPAS website (www.ARPAS.org).
