National Academies release report on the future of agriculture research

Take a look at the newly released report by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine,  "Science Breakthroughs 2030: A Strategy for Food and Agricultural Research." They have identified scientific breakthroughs pertaining to the increase in U.S. food and agriculture system's sustainability that are possible to achieve in the next ten years

The five breakthroughs identified in the report are: 1) Transdisciplinary research, 2) Sensing technologies, 3) Data science and informatics, 4) Genomics and precision breeding and 5) Animal, soil, and plant microbiomes.
