Nominee announced for top USDA science post

A recent article in Science discusses the entomologist that is Trump's pick to lead the U.S. farm research programs. 

The White House announced that Scott Hutchins, global head of integrated field sciences for Corteva Agriscience -- the new name of the agriculture division of DowDuPont -- will be nominated as USDA undersecretary for research, education and economics. Hutchins has previously served as president of the Entomological Society of America and is also an adjunct professor at the University of Nebraska.
