Summary: Lunch & Learn - Reviewing for a Scientific Journal

On July 19, graduate students and new faculty members gathered for a Lunch & Learn with Dr. Elisabeth Huff-Lonergan, current Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Animal Science, and Dr. Steven Zinn, former Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Animal Science. Lonergan and Zinn presented on reviewing for a scientific journal, highlighting what the review process looks like after submission and the importance of peer review. Young scientists are encouraged to get involved with the Journal, be confident, and take advantage of the Society’s strong network.
