Dietary antioxidants play a pivotal role in maintaining the balance of oxidative stress within the body. We explored the effects of consuming antioxidant-enriched kibbles on serum oxidative stress and inflammatory biomarkers in healthy adult dogs and cats. Our findings revealed that incorporating antioxidant-enriched kibbles into diets resulted in improvements in oxidative stress status in cats and tended to in dogs, as evidenced by reductions in serum levels of malonaldehyde. Additionally, cats exhibited decreased serum inflammatory biomarkers when consuming the diet with antioxidant-enriched kibbles. These results highlight the potential of antioxidant-enriched kibbles to reduce oxidative stress in healthy dogs and cats and support immune health in healthy cats.
