Barbara P. Glenn, ASAS Fellow: Industry Category

Dr. Barbara P. Glenn is one of the most respected advocates of animal agriculture in the U.S. She began her career as a researcher but moved from bench to advocacy work in governmental affairs in order to advance research, teaching and education in the animal sciences. Working together with key organizations, Dr. Glenn has made an extraordinary impact on the lives of her fellow scientists, animal and food producers and the general public. She has had a distinguished career leading food and agriculture industries in regulatory affairs and has made numerous contributions to national agricultural policies. A native of Ohio, Dr. Glenn received her B.S. degree followed by her Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky. She currently serves as CEO of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture in Arlington, Virginia. She is a most deserving recipient of the ASAS Fellow Award in the Industry Category.
