Dr. Jeannette Moore is currently an Alumni Distinguished Professor in the Department of Animal Science at North Carolina State University. She has been a strong advocate in support of teaching and her passion in this area has reaped benefits for NCSU, the American Society of Animal Science, and the livestock industry. She is an exceptional teacher who has taught over 5,000 students in a wide variety of courses and has received numerous awards from university, state, regional and national organizations for her efforts including the 2020 ASAS Distinguished Teacher Award. Beyond the classroom, Dr. Moore has provided outstanding leadership in helping shape educational programs and policies through her service as president and member of the executive committee of NACTA; NACTA liaison for CAST; and vice president and president of the National Block and Bridle organization. She is very deserving of being named an ASAS Fellow in the realm of teaching.
