Habibi
Mohammad Habibi is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Animal and Food Sciences at Oklahoma State University (OSU). Mohammad obtained his BS and MS degrees in Animal Science and Animal Physiology from Saveh and Shiraz Universities, in 2011 and 2015, respectively. As an undergraduate and graduate student, Habibi maintained the GPA of 4. As a research assistant, Habibi has been working in Dr. Adel Pezeshki’s lab since Fall 2018, where his research is focused on the effect of branched-chain amino acids on growth efficiency and metabolism of young pigs fed with low-protein diets. At the 2020 Nutrition Conference, he was selected as a finalist for the Emerging Leaders in Nutrition Science by the American Society for Nutrition. He then was then awarded 2nd place for the 2021 Joe V. Whiteman Award in the Department of Animal and Food Sciences at OSU. Habibi’s technical abstract was selected third in the OSU Public Writing Contest in 2021. As a first author and coauthor, he has published five papers and 12 abstracts in peer-reviewed journals and national/international conferences, respectively. Habibi has communicated the results of his research as oral and/or poster presentations. Further, Habibi has been an ad-hoc reviewer for Livestock Science.
